Dr. R.T. Carter II D.D.S was born in Martinsville, Virginia. He moved to Richmond in 1993 and graduated Magna Cum Laude 1997 from Virginia Commonwealth University with a B.S. in Biology. Dr. Carter went directly to Dental School and graduated Cum Laude from the Medical College of Virginia in 2001. He proceeded to the VA Hospital in Hampton, Virginia where he did a one year surgical residency.
After spending two years in Cleveland, Ohio with his wife Sobia Carter, where she completed her pediatric dental residency, they moved back to Richmond in 2004.
Dr. Carter has two children, Thomas and Carson. He enjoys golfing and cooking in his spare time.

I've been going to their office for a couple of years. I've never had a problem.Located right in Highland Springs so don't be confused with the new Henrico address. Personal service, reasonably priced...where your a name not a number.I just referred another friend to their office today.

Being new to Richmond I was nervous about finding a new dentist, but Dr. Carter & his staff are exceptional. They made me feel like I had been going there for years. One of the best dental experiences I've ever had. I would highly recommend Carter Family Dentistry!
