I came in at sat at the bar to have a beer and a burger. After waiting a few minutes for the bartender to stop playing one of the touch screen games, I ordered my food and drink. The burger came out fairly fast and the beer was cold, so I was content. Then halfway threw my burger this guy a the bar kept talking to me. As the conversation continues, I find out that this drunk guy at the bar is the owner! He talks my ear off til my burger gets cold and I pay my tab and leave. I can't believe the owner of this restaurant gets drunk at the bar and annoys the guests. The bartender also seemed annoyed to have to serve me. OD yourself a favor and pick another restaurant.

the bleu bistro is a great envirornment for the after work drink, or sunday brunch brunch with the family, or a late evining get together with friends. It features a wid variety of entertainment including the doctors of jazz every sunday during brunch. With prices set to a reasonable scheme and a delightful daily specials menu it is recomended for both a casual lunch to a bussines dinner. bon appetite

After dining there, I visited their website (www.thebleubistro) to check out their goods. Their tagline claims they strive for casual elegance.. and they're right. It's a nicely set up place - tables nicely spaced and a nice corner section with couches for a bit of privacy. They're set up for having private parties with a separate dining room. The night I went there, the Richmond Jazz Society had come in for their monthly shindig The food was tasty, service reasonable, especially considering how packed they were. I had the flat iron steak - highly recommended. Been there since and have tried many other things, ranging from their tasty Cajun Bleu Burger to a nice ribeye... AND they guarantee satisfaction how often does THAT happen? I learned they make much of what they cook right there - none of that out of the can/out of the freezer generic foods here. Very impressive, given the reasonable prices. Burgers/sandwiches in the typical $6-8 range, and entrees from $8 up - the flat iron steak about $13.99, the ribeye a pretty standard $18.99. Oh, it's not just a jazz club. They have different sorts of events all thru the week. Football is featured on Sun/Mon nights, but it's not a sports bar. Tuesday is Open Mic Nite. Been to a few and theirs is different -a lot less rigid than most formats, a lot more jamming together. The host is a larger-than-life character who wants you to have a good time. They have a jazz night and other acts on Thur, larger acts on the weekends. - Mosely Rose, a VERY popular local southern rock band - they serve a variety of tastes, in both music AND food. Pros Service - Good Location - right behind Regency Square Food - Very good and varied Entertainment - all sorts - a bit for everyone. 2 bar top "video krack" machines, a standup arcade unit and a tabletop Miss PacMan, I think. And that big guy on Tuesdays Bar - nice bartenders, a decent variety of beer on tap. Cons Nothing I can think of
